Buzz is a native of Aiken (almost), having moved here at the age of four and is a product of Aiken's public schools. He received his B.A. from Wofford College and earned his J. D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1973.

He joined his father's law firm in 1973, and in 1981 formed his own private practice with an emphasis in real estate and in estate planning and administration. He graduated from the College For Financial Planning in June of 1996 and was licensed by the Board of Standards as a Certified Financial Planner ®.

He was named by the Greater Aiken Chamber of Commerce as its Business Person of the Year in 1995, and was recognized by the Aiken Standard as the Best Lawyer in Aiken for the years 2001, 2003 and 2006.

Buzz has been an active member of the Aiken community for many years.

	Board Member: The Aiken Corporation, The Aiken SPCA, and The Aiken Red Cross.

He is also past President of the Kiwanis Club, past President of Aiken County Habitat For Humanity, former Board Member of USC Aiken Partnership, former President and Board Member of Croft House. Buzz and his family are members of St. Thaddeus Church where he has served two terms on the Vestry.

He is married to the former Sallye Williams, a 4th grade teacher at Chukker Creek Elementary. They have three children, Katey, Warren and Kellen.

Buzz's hobbies are running, boating, and trying to keep up with three very active teenagers.
