Sallye and Buzz have three children, Katey, Warren and Kellen, all graduates of Aiken High School, and five grandchildren and still counting. A former marathon runner, Buzz's hobbies now include playing the piano, boating, and the occasional trip into the wilderness - he has scaled glaciers in Montana, driven dogsleds in Minnesota, and rafted rivers in Costa Rica.
Buzz is the proud owner of a fabulous lakefront home on Lake Murray, near Lexington, S.C. The house is available to rent through VRBO as #57485 or by calling his office at 803-649-3923.
Buzz has been an active member of the Aiken community for many years. He is a member and past president of Aiken Rotary Club and Aiken Kiwanis Club. He currently serves as the chairman of The Aiken Corporation and serves on the Board of Directors of the Aiken Salvation Army, Mead Hall Episcopal School, Joye in Aiken, and The Child Advocacy Center. He is a member and past Chair of the Aiken Chamber of Commerce. Other organizations that Buzz has served include:

He also delivers Meals on Wheels weekly. Buzz and his family are members of St. Thaddeus Church where he has served two terms on the Vestry.
A Wofford College Alumnus and a 1973 graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law, Buzz Rich is (almost) a native Aikenite, having moved here at the age of four. He joined his father, Arthur D. Rich's law firm in 1973 and in 1981 formed his own private practice with the emphasis in real estate and estate planning and administration. In 1996 he graduated from the College for Financial Planning and was licensed by the Board of Standards as a Certified Financial Planner.
Buzz was named by the Greater Aiken Chamber of Commerce as its Business Person of the Year in 1995 and was recognized by The Aiken Standard as the Best Lawyer in Aiken for the years 2001, 2003, and 2006. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association and is admitted to all South Carolina Courts and the United States District Court for South Carolina.
Buzz built the current office at 205 Barnwell Avenue in 1990, directly across the street from First Presbyterian Church, where he married the former Sallye Williams in 1980.
