Get to know buzz
A Wofford College Alumnus and graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law, Arthur “Buzz” Rich is (almost) a native Aikenite, having moved to Aiken at the age of four.
He joined his father, Arthur D. Rich’s law firm in 1973, and in 1981 formed his own private practice with the emphasis in estate planning and administration.
Buzz is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association and is admitted to all South Carolina Courts and the United States District Court for South Carolina.
A big believer in community involvement, Buzz is a member and Past President of the Aiken Rotary Club and the Aiken Kiwanis Club. Current board memberships include The Aiken Corporation (Chair), ex officio member of the Aiken Municipal Development Corporation, Joye in Aiken, Aiken Downtown Development, The Salvation Army, and Aiken Senior Life Services for which he has delivered home meals to senior citizens for 30 consecutive years. He was named the Chamber’s Business Person of the Year in 1995 and the Aiken Standard’s Best Lawyer in 2001, 2003 and 2006.Get in touch with buzz
Buzz Around Town
Buzz built his current office at 205 Barnwell Avenue in 1990, directly across from First Presbyterian Church where he married the former Sallye Williams in 1980. Sallye and Buzz have three children – Katey, Warren and Kellen – all graduates of Aiken High School, and six grandchildren and counting.
When Buzz is not assisting his clients with estate planning and probate needs or venturing out into the wilderness – he has scaled glaciers in Montana, driven dogsleds in Minnesota, rafted rivers in Costa Rica, and completed the New York City and Marine Corps Marathons – you can find him boating, fishing, and relaxing with family at his waterfront home on Lake Murray near Lexington, South Carolina. A property too special not to share, Buzz makes the home available to rent through VRBO #57485.
